Texas Longhorns sophomore receiver Joshua Moore was arrested for unlawfully carrying a weapon and is set to appear in court on August 22, as first reported by Bryan Davis of the Austin-American Statesman,

Per the initial report from Davis, Moore was arrested on August 1. However, the Travis County Court Clerk’s records database lists the offense date as July 5. A warrant was issued on July 31 and Moore posted bond a day later.

On the field, Moore was expected to be a contributor in the wide receiver rotation, after starting appearing in six games in 2018 and catching a 27-yard touchdown pass against USC. At the time of publication, the University of Texas has not released a statement.
