On Thursday, Texas Longhorns sophomore wide receiver Brennan Eagles underwent arthroscopic surgery on his elbow, according to team officials.
According to Eagles, the surgery was a success:
Appreciate all the prayers, surgery went well and all is well. Thank you to everyone who checked in on me

The 6’4, 225-pounder is expected back for the season opener against Louisiana Tech at the end of the month. A breakout star of the offseason and early preseason camp, Eagles is expected to start at the flanker position after his emergence caused the coaching staff to move senior wide receiver Devin Duvernay from flanker inside to the slot.
So the surgery that Eagles underwent on Thursday should merely be a minor setback ahead of his anticipated breakout season.
