Following the program’s first 10-win season in a decade and with the LSU Tigers looming on the home schedule this season, Texas Longhorns fans are responding to rising expectations entering head coach Tom Herman’s third season on the Forty Acres with increased demand for season tickets.

On Saturday, the school revealed that it has sold 62,645 season tickets, leaving only 355 left for purchase — there’s a hard cap of 63,000 available. The record for most season tickets sold in a single year is 62,737 in 2010, so the Longhorns were only 92 short of setting the record.

Fans hoping to see the game against LSU at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium without purchasing tickets on the secondary market will have to purchase some of the remaining season tickets, as single-game tickets are not available for that contest.
