It’s game week and the Texas Longhorns are gearing up for their season-opening matchup against the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs Saturday. The expectations are high for Texas, with their highest preseason ranking in nearly 10 years, but many questions still abound.
Texas will have just two scholarship running backs Saturday, Keaontay Ingram and Jordan Whittington, as Daniel Young and Kirk Johnson are both sidelined with extended injuries. They also must replace the majority of the defense, including all three defensive linemen.
Heading into an important season-opening game, what do we need to see from the Longhorns and Tom Herman to ease some early-season anxiety?
