Two key pieces of the Texas Longhorns offense will spend the coming days mending minor ailments, as senior receiver Collin Johnson felt a twinge in his hamstring, while freshman running back Jordan Whittington re-aggravated a groin injury during the Horns’ 45-14 win over Louisiana Tech, per head coach Tom Herman.

Herman said Johnson is probably for Texas’ Week 2 showdown with LSU, and though Whittington is being listed as day-to-day, he was cleared to return to the game against Louisiana Tech if necessary.

Johnson finished the night with four catches for 59 yards and one touchdown. Whittington didn’t receiver a single carry during his debut, but caught two passes for 17 yards.
