The Texas Longhorns are 1-0 and ranked No. 10 nationally, but Tom Herman’s team will be an underdog next Saturday when the No. 6 LSU Tigers come to town, as the Horns have opened as four-point underdogs, per Circa Sports.

For the fans of odds and overcoming those odds, this may actually be ideal news for Texas, as Herman is 13-2-1 all-time against the spread as an underdog, as noted by The Athletic’s Max Olson, including and 8-2-1 record against the spread as an underdog at Texas.

Elsewhere, ESPN’s FPI gives Texas just a 20-percent chance at topping LSU, which stands as the lowest projected win probability on the Longhorns’ schedule, nearly 10 percent lower than Oklahoma (29.7%).

Kickoff for the top-10 matchup is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 7 at 6:30 p.m. CT.
