Heading into the first bye week of the season, the Texas Longhorns now have a kickoff time for the second conference game against the West Virginia Mountaineers in Morgantown on Oct. 5.

For the first time this season, the Horns will kick off during the afternoon after playing four night games, so it will be a 2:30 p.m. start on ABC or ESPN.

Both teams are 3-1 with an opening victory in Big 12 play. Overall, Texas has a losing record against West Virginia (3-5), but have won two of the three matchups in Morgantown since the Mountaineers joined the conference.

Last season, West Virginia scored 15 points in the fourth quarter to pull out a 42-41 victory when Will Grier scored on a two-point conversion with 16 seconds remaining.
