Texas offers 2023 RB Rueben Owens

Texas extended its first offer to the class of 2023 to in-state running back Rueben Owens.

The Texas coaching staff is in the process of putting a bow on the 2020 recruiting class, but today they extended offer to their first 2023 prospect in El Campo (TX) running back Rueben Owens.

Despite just concluding his freshman season, Owens already has more than ten scholarship offers on his resume, including several from the SEC.

Auburn, Florida, Georgia, LSU, and Oklahoma have all already offered the talented back, and today the Longhorns officially entered the fray for what is sure to be a tough battle against some of the nation’s top programs.

Having the offer list that Owens does following his first year of varsity speaks volumes of how prospective coaches feel about his talent level and he is only in the beginning stages of his development as a player.

Owen’s stock has already began to soar and with the spring evaluation period around the corner, I’d bet there will be plenty more offers coming his way as schools make their way down to see him.
