Mater Dei high school in southern California has been a national powerhouse for some time now, and regularly produces high end prospects to some of the top collegiate programs in the country. The 2021 and 2022 recruiting cycles will be more of the same for the Monarchs, as they already boast elite talent for both classes.
Over the recent days the Texas staff has extended offers to several recruits on the west coast, so it came to no surprise when Texas extended offers to some Mater Dei teammates.
Linebacker Raesjon Davis and cornerback Domani Jackson both received offers from the Longhorns earlier today and both have very extensive offer lists already to date.

Davis is ranked as the top outside linebacker in the country according to 247Sports’ composite rankings for the 2021 class, and committed to LSU on New Years day. Jackson is currently rated as a four star prospect by 247Sports for the 2022 class and already holds north of 30 offers despite still being an underclassmen.
It feels like Mater Dei sends a half dozen prospects to FBS programs every year and no matter what they just reload with more studs and that seems to be the case for the coming cycles.
Both Davis and Jackson are being sought after by just about every program in the country and will no doubt be tough, uphill climbs to just be in the conversation for the Longhorns.
