The Texas Longhorns have extended an offer to 2023 Katy Taylor defensive end Dylan Spencer on Monday.
The Longhorns are Spencer’s first offer to date and they most certainly won’t be the last after a getting a peek at some film from earlier this season.
After a great talk with @Oscargiles95 I am proud to say I have received my 1st offer from University of Texas @Perroni247 @MikeRoach247 @Trainfast_ @samspiegs @Rivalsfbcamps @RivalsJohnson@Dabo1056@DavidHu48075457 pic.twitter.com/TEXvA30GnX

Spencer is still a young pup at this stage in the game, but his athleticism and motor jump off the screen at you when you watch his Hudl.
The Texas staff has been pretty conservative when it comes to extending offers to underclassmen, so them already making a move on Spencer this early lets me know how they feel about his long-term potential.
With the Longhorns coming forward with an offer it would not surprise me to see several other programs do the same in the near future.
Spencer is not yet ranked after making the move from West Orange-Stark, where he played as a freshman in 2019.
