Texas Longhorns sophomore defensive back Tyler Owens won’t be available for the bulk of the TCU game, as the sophomore has been ruled out for the remainder of the contest with a hamstring injury.
Owens, who blocked a punt last week against Texas Tech, suffered the injury on special teams early in the first quarter.
Owens, who tallied one tackle and one pass deflection through the first two contests of the season, entered the game as Texas’ third-string strong safety, behind Chris Brown and B.J. Foster.
