The non-conference schedule for Texas Longhorns men’s basketball started to take shape on Wednesday with the announcement from Maui Invitational organizers that the event will take place at Harrah’s Cherokee Center-Asheville from Nov. 30-Dec. 2.

Texas is guaranteed two games in the tournament, first against Davidson at 11 a.m. Central on Nov. 30 in the quarterfinals and then against either Indiana or Providence the following day in bracket semifinals play. Wednesday will feature the championship round with the other four teams from the bracket — Alabama, North Carolina, Stanford, and UNLV.

The ESPN family of networks will broadcast the games, with TV listings announced at a later date.

It will be the fifth appearance for the Longhorns in the Maui Invitational, with the school boasting a 7-5 record and third-place finishes in 2004 and 2008. Texas also appeared in the tournament in 1993 and 2012.

The tournament currently represents the only non-conference games scheduled for the Horns.
