The Texas 2021 recruiting class suffered a big shake up this evening, as four star Denton (TX) Ryan athlete Billy Bowman announced that he was de-committing from the Longhorns and reopening his recruitment.

Bowman is one of the top prospects in the entire country and had been committed to Texas for over a year, so needless to say this one stings in multiple ways on the recruiting front.
There had been rumors blowing that Oklahoma was making a push for Bowman despite him being firmly committed to the Longhorns, and it looks like those rumors could end up being substantiated.
It will be hard to find a replacement for a player like Bowman, as he is a player that could legitimately play on either side of the ball at the next level and needless say many will be keeping a close eye on his teammate Ja’Tavion Sanders.
Losing Bowman now drops the Longhorns recruiting class to the 17th ranked class nationally according to 247Sports.
