- Texas alum Scottie Scheffler is playing in his first Augusta National Masters tournament, the Dallas Morning News reports. From the Morning News: “Scottie Scheffler arrived to famed Augusta National Golf Club for his first Masters on late Sunday night from the Vivant Houston Open where he finished tied for 32nd. He’s had inconsistent tournament finishes since his COVID-related withdrawal at the US Open in September, but the Dallas native seems ready to take on Augusta National. Though he’s only played the course five times before this week, that doesn’t change his laser focus for this week.”
Ex-Longhorn Scottie Scheffler isn’t looking to just have fun in his first Masters. He’s at Augusta to win. https://t.co/VLeEXM5N9m
