In addition to the Maui Invitational that will now happen in North Carolina instead of Hawaii, the Texas Longhorns added a second non-conference men’s basketball game on Monday — a Dec. 9 game against the Texas State Bobcats at the Erwin Center.

Texas is scheduled to open the season against UTRGV on Nov. 25 before traveling to Asheville for three games. With conference play starting on Dec. 13, it will be an extremely abbreviated non-conference schedule for the Longhorns this season.

One-time AAU coach Terrence Johnson will serve as the interim head coach in San Marcos for the 2020-21 season.
