The Texas Longhorns may be without a key presence in the trenches throughout the rest of their matchup with the West Virginia Mountaineers, as defensive tackle Keondre Coburn has been ruled as questionable after suffering an ankle injury in the first quarter.
Coburn was able to walk off of the field on his own power, but was noticeably limping. He’s now back on the sidelines after a brief trip to the locker room, but his ankle is wrapped so it appears unlikely that he’ll return.
Entering the West Virginia game, Coburn has tallied 16 tackles and one pass deflection.
Largely filling Coburn’s role since the injury is sophomore T’Vondre Sweat, whose presence was felt shortly thereafter with a key tackle for loss on third down. Alfred Collins will almost certainly see increased opportunities today, as well.
