We made it. The College Football Playoff. ESPN. Rece Davis. Herbie. David Pollack and Joey Galloway interrupting each other. Even a Booger appearance! The CFP Selection Show will have everything. Well, everything except the Texas Longhorns.
HOW TO WATCH THE CFP BOWL SELECTION SHOW
Time: 11 a.m. CST
Date: Sunday, Dec. 20
Channel: ESPN/ESPNU
The College Football Playoff teams will be revealed at 11:15 p.m. and the New Year’s Six matchups at 1:30 p.m. Texas will receive its bowl assignment sometime thereafter.
PROJECTIONS
For what feels like the 10th straight year, but really only the second, Texas is expected to play in the Valero Alamo Bowl against another PAC-12 foe. All projections point towards a Big 12 reunion against the Colorado Buffaloes. Oklahoma will in all likelihood play in the Cotton Bowl Classic as the Big 12 Champion, but Iowa State is also projected to earn an NY6 bid, too. That bumps Texas up from the Cheez-It Bowl to the Alamo Bowl as the next highest Big 12 team.
