The Texas Longhorns men’s basketball team barely squeaked by the Oklahoma State Cowboys over the weekend. Even so, it was enough to better their AP Poll ranking.
The Longhorns (7-1, 1-0) were ranked No. 10 in the latest poll.
Texas was ranked No. 11 going into their Big 12 opener over the weekend.
It’s been a solid year for the Longhorns so far, particularly with the addition of freshman Greg Brown III, who registered his second straight and third double-double (24 points, 14 rebounds) of the year, and notably, over the course of his short 8-game collegiate career.

The Longhorns are now set to wrap up a shortened December slate with a game against the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Islanders on Tuesday evening, and then a Big 12 away game matchup against the Kansas Jayhawks to follow up on a Saturday of conference play.
