The No. 10 Texas Longhorns will not face the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Islanders on Tuesday at the Erwin Center after the Islanders paused team activities.
The only other non-conference game scheduled for Texas this season is against Kentucky on Jan. 30 in Lexington in the Big 12/SEC Challenge.
With the cancelation of the game, Texas will not play again until traveling to Lawrence to face No. 3 Kansas in Lawrence on Jan. 2. The last game for the Longhorns came last Sunday against the Cowboys in Austin, a narrow victory thanks to big performances by freshman forward Greg Brown III and redshirt junior guard Andrew Jones.
Kansas is 8-1 this season after opening the season with a loss to Gonzaga before reeling off eight straight wins, including Big 12 victories over Texas Tech and West Virginia. Guard Ochai Ogbaji (14.8 points per game) and forward Jalen Wilson (14.6 points per game) lead the way for the Jayhawks through the first nine gamese.
