There’s only one chance to watch the Texas Longhorns in action between the Alamo Bowl and the season opener against the South Florida Bulls in early September — the Orange-White game on April 25 at 6 p.m. Central on Longhorn Network that highlights the second annual “Made in Austin Weekend.”
Fans won’t get the opportunity to enjoy a Texas baseball game — the Horns are in Manhattan that weekend — but the weekend does get started with the No. 3 softball program playing Oklahoma State and continues on Saturday morning at 8 a.m. Central with the Longhorn Rowing Invitational at Walter E. Long Lake. Then the Horns continue the home series against the Pokes.
At 2:45, Bevo Blvd. gets started, including the first-ever crawfish boil in front of the alumni center, as well as food trucks and the normal happy hour pricing for beer and wine. A short time later, Longhorn City Limits will feature a performance on the LBJ Lawn with artists to be announced at a later date.
The spring-ending scrimmage will once again feature a speakeasy lounge, this time on the sixth floor of the north end zone, before fans will have 45 minutes on the field for photo opportunities.
