On Tuesday evening during the second annual State of the Union address for Texas Longhorns athletics, Chris Del Conte confirmed that the Orange-White game for the football program will be on April 25 at 6:30 p.m. Central. The Longhorn Network airs the spring-ending scrimmage.
There will be one big change — the video board in the south end zone won’t be available due to the renovations in that end of Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium.
Other than that, the game will likely look like it has in recent years under head coach Tom Herman with the evening start time, although the date is nearly two weeks later than the 2019 edition. Expect a later start of spring practice then, which Herman should confirm on National Signing Day, since the coaching staff has two new coordinators and, eventually, five new position coaches.
