5-star RB TreVeyon Henderson names Texas in top schools

Five star running back TreVeyon Henderson trimmed his list down to nine and the Longhorns are still in the hunt.

Five star Hopewell (VA) running back TreVeyon Henderson announced today that he was trimming his list of schools down to nine suitors.

The Longhorns were among the schools included on Henderson’s list, as the Longhorns are trying to make a bid for another out of state five star back for the second cycle in a row.

Henderson reportedly was scheduled to make an official visit to Austin this spring, but with recruiting visits on hold due to the pandemic it will be interesting to see how his recruitment is impacted.

The Longhorns were able to land a five star running back in Bijan Robinson this past cycle and it’s clear that Texas running back coach Stan Drayton is once again aiming high on his wish list as he pursues Henderson.

Henderson rushed for almost 2500 yards and 45 touchdowns in 2019, while also chipping in with 283 yards receiving and 5 touchdowns. Those are pretty decent numbers.

Much like with Robinson, landing Henderson will require taking on some of the top programs in the country if the Longhorns want to land his signature and bring him to Austin.
