Katy cornerback Hunter Washington released his list of top 10 schools on Monday and the Texas Longhorns were one of the programs that made the cut.

The other schools still under consideration by the 5’11, 178-pounder are Arizona State, Arkansas, Florida State, LSU, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, TCU, and Virginia Tech. Washington trimmed his list from nearly 30 offers overall.
Texas offered Washington back in November and he’s since taken a Junior Day visit to Ole Miss in early February and unofficial visits to Oklahoma and Arkansas earlier this month.
With limited size and a 4.74 40-yard dash at a regional camp for The Opening last year, Washington doesn’t have ideal measurables for the position, but he’s a tough, productive player at a state powerhouse and that’s good enough to rank as the No. 3 cornerback in the state at this time.
Washington is a consensus four-star prospect who ranks No. 197 nationally and No. 15 at the cornerbac position, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings.
