Texas makes the cut for 4-star DE Shemar Turner

Four star DeSoto (TX) defensive end Shemar Turner announced earlier this evening that he was trimming his list of schools down to eleven, and the Longhorns were among those still in the hunt for the pass rusher’s commitment.

Turner holds almost 40 offers to date and he included several elite programs from across the country in his trimmed down list.

There is still a ways to go in this recruitment and Turner later tweeted out that he isn’t leaning in any particular direction and none of the schools listed are out in front at this time.

The Longhorns are going to have their work cut out for them when it comes to landing Turner, but as things sit currently they are right in the thick of things with his other contenders.
