Four star Kennedale (TX) safety JD Coffey III announced earlier today that he had narrowed his choices down to six finalists.
The Lone Star State’s top safety named the Longhorns among his final six schools along with Baylor, LSU, Michigan, Oregon, and Washington.

The Longhorns have been on Coffey the longest of all his finalist, as he was offered last summer, but they will have to fight off some stiff competition to land him.
Coffey was offered by the previous defensive staff, but with Chris Ash now the defensive signal caller, it looks like the Longhorns are still continuing their pursuit.
