Four star Texarkana (TX) Texas high outside linebacker Clayton Smith announced earlier today that he has narrowed down his list of schools down to six contenders.
Smith named the Longhorns along with Florida State, Kentucky, LSU, Oklahoma, and Oregon are the finalists still in the mix for the talented edge defender.

Smith is fresh off of a monster junior campaign in which he racked up 94 tackles (40 TFLS), 20 sacks, 8 forced fumbles, and 3 fumbles recovered. Smith also moonlighted on offense and recorded 10 catches for 237 yards and 6 touchdowns, so he did a little bit of everything in 2019.
The Longhorns have been Smith for awhile now, as he’s held an offer for almost a year to date, but they will need to stay the course if they want to be able to fend off the likes of LSU, Oklahoma, and Oregon.
