On Wednesday evening, Bryans Road (Md.) St. Stephen’s & St. Agnes four-star wide receiver Malcolm Johnson Jr. revealed his top eight schools.
Johnson has 28 reported offers on his resume and now with just eight programs remaining, the Longhorns remain in the hunt for his services.

The Longhorns entered the mix for Johnson back in early March and despite the extended dead period have made enough of an impression to remain in the mix for the 6’1, 185-pounder.
The competition will definitely be stiff with the typical SEC powers and the hometown team in Maryland lurking in this recruitment. Oklahoma is considered a contender as well — the Sooners currently hold the only 247Sports Crystal Ball projection for Johnson, in part because he’s close with No. 1 quarterback Caleb Williams, a Washington, DC product considered an Oklahoma lean.
Johnson is ranked as the No. 199 player nationally and the No. 38 wide receiver, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings.
