The Texas Longhorns wasted no time in offering former Arizona Wildcats linebacker Tony Fields II after he announced his decision to become a graduate transfer and it looks like he is wasting no time when it comes to narrowing down his choices and coming to a decision.
The former Arizona linebacker announced on Sunday that he has narrowed his focus to three schools and Texas is right in the middle of it for Fields.

With the season not too far off (in theory) it makes sense that Fields wants to get this decision behind him so that he has time to report to campus and start to acclimate to the program he chooses.
The Longhorns have had good success under head coach Tom Herman when it comes to recruiting graduate transfer players, as they were able to land coveted transfers like Parker Braun and Calvin Anderson in the previous cycles, and it looks like they are making a run at another in Fields.
Heading into the season there are certainly snaps to be had at the linebacker position in Austin, so it certainly looks like the Texas staff would like to add some experience and production at the position and Fields could absolutely provide both.
