Texas Longhorns fans got their first look at freshman running back Bijan Robinson on Monday when the school released a video clip of the nation’s No. 1 running back in the 2020 recruiting class scoring a touchdown on a screen pass in practice.

The clip provides evidence that Robinson ‘s speed will allow him to create big plays in college just like he did so frequently at Salpointe Catholic in Tucson, Arizona on his way to earning back-to-back Arizona Player of the Year awards.
It also suggests that new offensive coordinator Mike Yurcich will emphasize the screen game as a way to get his best athletes the ball in space, a list that surely includes Robinson despite his youth.
Since arriving in Austin this summer, Robinson has drawn praise from Texas head coach Tom Herman for his maturity and for looking like a player who has already spent several years in a college strength and conditioning program.
