La Porte defensive tackle Albert Regis announced on Friday evening that he has narrowed his list of schools down to six.
The Texas Longhorns entered the race for Regis back in June and have been right in the mix for his services ever since, so it was no surprise that they made the cut.
My top 6 schools! All glory to the man above to bless me to be in this position ❤️ pic.twitter.com/E9yMKHmrkm

Regis is one of the top remaining IDL (interior defensive line) right along with DeSoto’s Shemar Turner, who is reportedly making a visit to campus over the weekend.
Both Regis and Turner profile similarly and the Texas staff is hard at work in both recruitments that will likely come down to squaring off with some SEC programs.
A consensus four-star prospect, Regis is ranked as the No. 489 prospect nationally and the No. 32 defensive tackle, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings.
