Texas school officials release limited edition ‘My Texas Fan’ cutouts to help show your support even while you’re at home

The Texas Longhorns want fans in the stands.

Well, kind of.

Texas Athletics has announced the release of limited edition “My Texas Fan Cutouts,” which, as you might imagine, you can purchase to place in the Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium’s stands in 2020. “Upload your favorite photo of yourself, a family member, or pet showing their Longhorns pride, and be a part of the pageantry at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium in a new and unique way,” officials write in a release for the product.

It’s also for a good cause, officials note.

“By purchasing a Fan Cutout, you help supply health and safety resources to over 600 Texas student-athletes, including weekly COVID-19 testing, special health monitoring related to COVID-19, clean masks, and face shields. In addition, proceeds from Fan Cutouts provide newly necessary initiatives to support student-athlete success at Texas, such as virtual tutoring, grab n’ go meals, on-campus hand sanitization stations, and assistance with digital course books and learning resources,” the officials said on Texas Athletics’ website.
