Per Anwar Richardson of Orangebloods, former Arizona linebacker Tony Fields II is visiting Texas today.
Fields recently narrowed his list of schools down to three and the Longhorns are right in the mix along with Minnesota and West Virginia.

In addition, Texas RB Daniel Young has not participated in offseason workouts due to COVID-19 concerns. He may opt out of this season
Fields was a three year starter for the Wildcats and was named a Freshman All-American in 2017 by ESPN and 247Sports.
Fields would bring experience and production to a position group that is lacking it for the Longhorns. The Longhorns have done well in previous years on the graduate transfer market with guys like Calvin Anderson, Tre Watson, and Parker Braun, and they are looking to hit big again with Fields.
Additionally, Richardson noted that senior running back Daniel Young is not working out with the team and could opt out of participating this fall. This adds more context to the staff’s brief pursuit of Towson running back Shane Simpson, who committed to Virginia a couple of days ago.
Young opting out would be a hit depth wise at the running back position and it makes you wonder if the staff would try to add another back if this does indeed come to fruition.
