The 2020 season for the Texas Longhorns will open on Saturday, Sept. 12 with a 7 p.m. Central kick against the UTEP Miners on Longhorn Network, the Big 12 announced on Tuesday.
Two weeks later, when Texas starts Big 12 play against Texas Tech in Lubbock, the game will kick off at 2:30 p.m. Central on FOX.
The conference also announced the standard kickoff time of 11 a.m. Central for the annual Red River Showdown at the Cotton Bowl against Oklahoma. That game is scheduled for Oct. 10.
In addition, the regular season finale in Ames against Iowa State will be played on the Friday after Thanksgiving — Nov. 27. ABC or an ESPN network will air that game.
