The Texas Longhorns are down another wide receiver, as redshirt freshman wide receiver Jordan Whittington will miss the second half due to injury.

Whittington, who moved from running back to wide receiver in the offseason, had two receptions for 45 yards in the first half, as well as one carry for 15 yards. The second-year player missed nearly all of the 2019 season due to a nagging groin injury that required multiple surgeries, leading to some of the issues in the running back room.

Along with Jake Smith, the sophomore wide receiver who did not play tonight due to injury, those two players were listed as the top options on the depth chart at the inside receiver position, leaving Texas thin at that spot.

In the first half, walk-on Kai Money replaced Whittington and recorded two catches, one of which went for a touchdown.
