Like this:
Breaking: Big Ten set to vote on return to play for fall sports as soon as Sunday. October 17th set as targeted resumption date for football. This would allow Big Ten to participate in the college football playoff. Details: https://t.co/ulWlO8ndhU

- Texas wide receiver Jordan Whittington, who left the game against the UTEP Miners on Saturday with injury, will require knee surgery, the Austin American-Statesman reports.
Texas WR Jordan Whittington will have surgery to repair a small tear in his lateral meniscus. Out 3-4 weeks. CB Josh Thompson also got “too many stitches to count” in his ear, per Tom Herman

- Texas alum and professional golfer Scottie Scheffler tested positive for COVID-19 and will now be forced to miss this year’s U.S. Open, the Austin American-Statesman reports. From the Statesman: “The former University of Texas star has finished in the top 10 seven times during his rookie campaign on Tour and was hoping to build on previous U.S. Open success — he was the low amateur at Erin Hills in 2017, when he tied for 27th. Scheffler’s withdrawal opens a spot for South African Branden Grace.”
Scottie Scheffler has withdrawn from the 120th U.S. Open due to a positive COVID-19 test.
