Houston Cougars head coach Dana Holgorsen is less-than-happy about the Baylor Bears’ 22-hour prior cancelation of last week’s game due to COVID concerns among Waco’s finest.
Dana Holgorsen on Saturday game with Baylor cancelled: “I don’t know how it gets to 22 hours before the game..There’s a reason why our conference & the Big 12 test 3 times a week.I would think our opponent kind of knows where they’re at,just like we kind of knew where we were at” pic.twitter.com/sekO9IKEwn

NEWS ACROSS THE LONGHORN REPUBLIC AND BEYOND
- Texas head coach Tom Herman understands the threat Texas Tech Red Raiders quarterback Alan Bowman poses, according to the Austin American-Statesman. “We had always thought, when healthy, this guy was one of the better ones in the Big 12. I think he proved that two Saturdays ago with his performance against Houston Baptist” Herman told the Statesman earlier this week. “We definitely know that he is more than capable. He is one of the better ones, again, in our league and we’re going to have our work cut out for us.”
It took three years, but Alan Bowman will finally get to introduce himself to Texas’ defense this weekend https://t.co/1cSut7axDg

- Herman told the Dallas Morning News that Longhorn football has remained very detail-oriented in their COVID-19 protocol. “I hate to even talk about it because I don’t want to jinx it,” Herman told the Morning News earlier this week. “We could certainly be next, and I don’t know that anybody has a secret formula, I think our guys are really, really bought in. I think they understand the diligence that’s necessary.”
