Four-star Austin (LBJ safety Andrew Mukuba is slated to make his college decision on Thursday and on Wednesday he announced his three finalists.
The hometown Texas Longhorns have been hot on Mukuba’s trail for months and they were joined his top three by the Clemson Tigers and LSU Tigers.

Despite Texas holding the proximity edge and recruiting Mukuba hard for awhile, Clemson recently earned several 247Sports Crystal Ball predictions heading into his decision date.
If those picks prove accurate, that will be another bad beat in a cycle full of them for the Longhorns, as Mukuba has not been able to visit Clemson given the extended dead period due to the pandemic.
Mukuba is ranked as the No. 242 player nationally and the No. 13 safety, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings. The 2021 class for Texas includes one safety pledge in Kenndale’s JD Coffey and Mukuba is the top target at the position.
