The No. 4 Texas Longhorns will not travel to Ames to face the Iowa State Cyclones on Wednesday — the game was postponed on Sunday as the Cyclones paused all team activities due to COVID-19 protocols.

It’s the second Texas game that the Big 12 Conference will have to work to reschedule after the conference opener against Baylor in December was also postponed.

The next scheduled game for the Longhorns is against the Horned Frogs next Saturday in Fort Worth at 5 p.m. Central on ESPN2.

Texas also has some COVID-19 issues of its own — redshirt sophomore forward Brock Cunningham reportedly tested positive and missed the Kansas State game on Saturday. Sophomore forward Kai Jones and freshman forward Greg Brown III had recent contact with Cunningham and have to quarantine for seven to 10 days.

With those three players out, junior forward Kamaka Hepa received his first start of the season against the Wildcats and scored 15 points thanks to five three-pointers, a career high for Hepa.
