The Big 12 Conference announced Monday that Saturday’s matchup between No. 5 Texas and the TCU Horned Frogs has been postponed after TCU head coach Jamie Dixon tested positive for COVID-19.
Following our team-wide testing, I was notified that I had tested positive for COVID-19. I have begun self-isolation and look forward to continuing our season soon.

The news comes only a day after the Horns game against Iowa State was also postponed due to COVID-19 protocols. It marks the third Texas conference game postponed this season after the original Big 12 opener against Baylor was moved due to COVID-19 issues within the Bears program.
The next time head coach Shaka Smart and the Longhorns are scheduled to take the court will be Jan. 26 when the Horns will host Oklahoma. All three of their postponements have yet to be rescheduled.
Texas is currently 11-2 overall and 5-1 in conference play, behind No. 2 Baylor in the conference standings.
