The Texas Longhorns have yet to officially announce their coaching staff, but that hasn’t stopped them from recruiting as they extended an offer to rising 2022 defensive tackle Jaray Bledsoe from Bremond.

Bledsoe is currently unranked, but picked up offers from five Power 5 schools in the same week, including the Oklahoma Sooners and the Texas A&M Aggies, bringing his total up to seven. The 6’4, 260-pound tackle had a monster junior season for the Tigers, logging 104 total tackles, 17 tackles for loss and two sacks. Bledsoe also plays running back for Bremond, rushing for 1,259 yards and 21 touchdowns on just 158 attempts.
The Longhorns are in need of depth in the trenches along the defensive line, with the attrition at the position and only taking one true defensive tackle in the 2021 class at the time of the offer.
