The 6’4, 240-pound defensive end committed to the Kansas Jayhawks in November, but chose not to sign as a part of the early signing period. The consensus three-star defensive end notched 48 tackles and 12 tackles for loss in his senior campaign, earning him some additional interest from teams.
Immediately following the offer, the Longhorns earned two Crystal Ball predictions.
As a senior, Lawrence brought in 48 tackles, 12 tackles for loss, seven sacks and two forced fumbles in 12 games for the Raiders. The No. 39 strong-side defensive end in the 2021 class, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings, Lawrence would join December signees Jordon Thomas and Barryn Sorrell in the defensive recruiting haul.
