Texas has extended an offer to 2022 Carthage (TX) linebacker Kip Lewis. Lewis’ stock has gone through the roof over the past month during Carthage’s playoff run and now the Longhorns have joined the party.
In the recent weeks Arkansas, LSU, Oklahoma, Texas A&M, and USC have all put offers on the table for Lewis.
After a great conversation with @Coach_Gideon I am truly blessed to receive an offer from the University of Texas #HookEm pic.twitter.com/9Xl81U4nFG

Lewis is fresh off helping Carthage notch yet another state championship in which he was highly productive.
Lewis racked up 140 tackles, 17 TFLs, and 4 sacks while also chipping in with 1 PBU, and 1 forced fumble (recovered 2). Lewis always had one interception on the season.
This recruitment is still in the infant stages, but it is clear that Lewis has opened the eyes of several big time programs.
