On Friday, the Big 12 Conference announced three rescheduled basketball games after a week that featured a host of postponements due to COVID-19 issues in the league, including the road game for the Texas Longhorns against the Iowa State Cyclones.

The conference will announce future schedule adjustments when available.

Originally scheduled for Ames on Wednesday, the Horns will now travel to the Midwest on Thursday, Feb. 18 to face the Cyclones on Big 12 Now on ESPN+ at 6:00 p.m. Central.

It’s the first of three postponed conference games for Texas to be rescheduled.

With the time off — Texas hasn’t played since last Saturday against Kansas State — the Longhorns have had a chance to deal with some COVID-19 issues of their own. Redshirt sophomore forward Brock Cunningham reportedly tested positive and missed the game against the Wildcats. Sophomore forward Kai Jones and freshman forward Greg Brown III had recent contact with Cunningham prior to his positive test and have to quarantine for seven to 10 days.

The next scheduled game, against Oklahoma on Tuesday, is towards the end of that quarantine period for Jones and Brown.
