Owens has held an offer from the Longhorns for almost a year now and has been a known commodity on the recruiting scene since 2019. Despite being a couple years removed from being able to sign on the dotted line, the talented back is already narrowing his focus down to a handful of schools going forward.
Owens is already one of the most sought after prospects in his class and it will most certainly require an all hands on deck effort from the new Texas staff to land him.
In 2020, Owens rushed 1511 yards on 140 carries with 22 touchdowns, while also recording 5 catches for 114 yards and 1 touchdown.
