The Texas Longhorns went into Fort Worth and did something they haven’t done in eight years, come away with a win. With opportunities to score late, Texas was unable to capitalize but managed to get two key first downs in the fourth quarter to bleed the clock and end the game.
Bijan Robinson continues to show why he’s one of the best players in the country, setting a career-high in both rushes and yards with a career-high 216 rushing yards on 35 carries - propelling the Texas offense. The Texas defense needed all the help it could get, giving up 351 total yards in the win over the Horned Frogs.
This marks just the third win for Texas over the Horned Frogs since they joined the conference, but hopefully signaling a change in the tide for Texas.
This sets up a big matchup next week in Dallas against the Oklahoma Sooners for control of the Big 12 title race.
