With football on a bye week, it is a good time to look ahead to a program kicking off in a few weeks with new faces and lofty expectations. New Head Coach Chris Beard and his staff hit the transfer portal hard to fill out the Longhorns Basketball roster.

We discuss the ceiling and floor of the AP Preseason #5 team, and how much effect a coaching staff has on that.
We discuss the out-of-conference schedule (tipping off on November 9th against Houston Baptist). We also take a look at a loaded Big-12 conference and attempt to stratify it into tiers and identify the teams that may jump between them before the season is over.
