Texas Longhorns football had a bye this past weekend, so in lieu of a look back and recap — we are offering a look ahead to the Longhorns of Tomorrow. Mike Roach from 247Sports joins the podcast to discuss the momentum after back-to-back close losses to Oklahoma and Oklahoma State and how it is more neutral than reverse.
We focused especially on the offensive line: how the approach of Kyle Flood and Steve Sarkisian is different than the previous regimes, who is on the board to join the current class, and how fans should feel about the future of the position.
We also looked at playmakers at wide receiver as Xavier Worthy has stepped on campus and immediately become our WR1 and biggest playmaker out wide.
It wouldn’t be a recruiting podcast without some discussion of Arch Manning from someone who has covered him closely — Mike gives some insight into where Texas stands in the pack and a bit of the momentum that could come in the 2023 class with Manning on board.
As is now tradition for a Mike Roach/Longhorn Republic production, Mike breaks down what he’s been watching when he’s not grinding tape and gives some elite recommendations.
