It’s arguably the biggest week of the season for the No. 21 Texas Longhorns, heading into the Cotton Bowl to take on the rival No. 6 Oklahoma Sooners with a chance to gain control of the conference race in the process.

The Sooners came out on top in the last two matchups in Dallas and three straight head-to-head matchups over the Longhorns if you count the 2018 Big 12 Championship game. Texas is 4-1 and undefeated to start Big 12 play, taking on 5-0 Oklahoma, who have looked a bit shaky to open the season. However, this is a game where you throw out the records and enjoy the hate between two historic programs.

Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian previews the matchup ahead of his first foray into the Red River Showdown.
