By all definitions of the word, it was a good week for the Texas Longhorns, who rolled past the TCU Horned Frogs in a somewhat sloppy and dramatic win over the weekend.
It could also be argued that it’s an even better week for two Longhorns in particular: sophomore running back Bijan Robinson, who was named Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week, and junior special teams wunderkind Cameron Dicker, the latest Co-Special Teams Player of the Week.
Robinson, who earned the same award earlier this season after Texas knocked off the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns in week 1, logged 216 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 35 carries against TCU, as well as two receptions for 22 yards.
Meanwhile, Dicker scored nearly half of Texas’ 32 points on the day, going 4-for-4 on field goal attempts and 2-for-2 on PATs. He is now Texas’ third all-time scorer as a kicker (338 points), just 20 points shy of the university’s record set by Dusty Mangum in 2004.
Bijan Robinson, Cameron Dicker earn Big 12 honors after the win over TCU.
