Bevo’s Daily Roundup: SMU HC Sonny Dykes, UTSA HC Jeff Traylor among favorites for TCU job

The Texas Tech Red Raiders hit a snag this week in their search for Matt Wells’ replacement, when the TCU Horned Frogs announced they were parting ways with head coach Gary Patterson after 21 seasons. Why, you may ask? Because TCU is the more attractive gig.

That’s why the same names that were floated for the Texas Tech job are now being floated for the TCU job, including UTSA Roadrunners head coach and former Texas Longhorns assistant Jeff Traylor, as well as SMU Mustangs head coach Sonny Dykes. Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns head coach Billy Napier is also among the names being floated for the TCU job.
